Example prompts
Work with Analytics agent using conversational prompts to explore your email campaign data. It supports follow-up questions, so you can review and refine results through conversation.
Summarise campaign performance
Get a quick overview of how a campaign or group of campaigns performed, without opening each report.
Example
Summarise the performance of my last email campaign.Refine further
Compare it with the average for my campaigns sent in the last three months.Advanced example
Summarise how my newsletter campaigns performed last quarter. Include opens, clicks, and unsubscribes, and highlight the three best and three worst campaigns by click rate.
Analyse trends
See how your email performance changes over time, and find patterns across your campaigns.
Example
How has my open rate changed over the last six months?Refine further
Break that down by month.Advanced example
Show the monthly trend in click rate for my promotional campaigns over the last year, and tell me which months were above and below average.
Detect anomalies
Find results that are significantly different from your usual performance for that metric and time period, such as a sudden drop in click rate or an unusual spike in unsubscribes, so you can investigate them.
Example
Were there any unusual results in my campaigns last month?Refine further
Which individual email campaign had the biggest drop in click rate compared with the previous campaign, and when was it sent?Advanced example
Check my campaigns from the last 90 days for any unusual spikes in bounces or unsubscribes, and list the campaigns where they happened.
Ask questions about your data
Ask specific questions about your campaign data and get a direct answer.
Example
How many campaigns did I send last month?Refine further
Which of those had the highest click rate?Advanced example
Are a small number of campaigns driving most of my clicks or revenue?
Create charts and visualisations
Turn your campaign data into charts, without exporting it or building the charts yourself. You can use the agent to create line, bar, column, pie, and area charts of your campaign data.
Example
Create a chart of my open rate over the last 12 months.Refine further
Add click rate to the same chart, and show open rate in blue and click rate in green.Advanced example
Create a bar chart comparing the click rate of my last 10 campaigns, and sort them from highest to lowest.
Improve your results
To get the most out of Analytics agent, treat it as a collaborative assistant. Guide it clearly and refine outputs through conversation.
Be clear and specific
Name the campaigns, metrics, or date range you want to analyse. Specific instructions make it easier for the agent to give you useful results.
Instead of: Show me some data.
Try: What was the average click rate for campaigns I sent in the last 30 days?
Include a date range Tell the agent which period to analyse, such as last month, the last 90 days, or between 1 June and 31 August. If you don't include a date range, the agent uses:
your 100 most recent campaigns for summaries
up to your 50 most recent campaigns for trends and metric analysis
the send date of the campaign, if you name a specific campaign
Iterate and refine Analytics agent supports back-and-forth interaction. Build towards the insight you need step by step, instead of aiming for a perfect first prompt:
Start with a general question.
Follow up to narrow down or compare.
Ask for a chart when you want to see the data visually.
Review generated outputs carefully The agent calculates figures from your campaign data, but it might interpret your question differently from what you meant, for example, by using a different date range or set of campaigns. Check important figures against your campaign reports before you share them or make decisions based on them.
Treat explanations as a starting point The agent can point out patterns and possible causes, such as a change in send time or subject line. Use your own knowledge of your campaigns to decide what actually caused a result.
Stay within scope Analytics agent is designed to analyse email campaign data. For best results, use it for questions about your email campaigns and their performance.
